|Known as the whale watching capital of the Oregon Coast, Depoe Bay is home to a large population of resident gray whales. These friendly giants can often be seen close to shore, especially during their annual migration in late spring and early summer.
Depoe Bay is also a great place to see other marine wildlife, including sea lions, harbor seals, and porpoises. State Parks in the area include Boiler Bay, Rocky Creek State Park, Devil’s Punchbowl, and Cape Foulweather.
