Located between Newport and Waldport, Seal Rock is a popular Oregon Coast destination. The area is known for its rocky shoreline, which makes for fantastic beachcombing. The rock formations also provide great views and photo opps, as well as shady areas to enjoy picnics and sunbathing. Seal Rock State Beach is a great place to view tide pools at low tide or walk south and north of the park for agates. Bordered by Ona beach, you can also find ancient tree stumps or bedrock formations. A pioneer town used to lie here until it was lost to the ocean in the 1860s.
