Oceanside Beach Trail
A refreshing walk along the shoreline. At low tide, you can walk miles south towards Netarts Spit, enjoying the sound of the surf and the search for sea glass.
Maxwell Point Tunnel
Not a long hike, but an adventure. Navigate through the dark tunnel (bring a light!) and scramble over rocks to reach the secluded Tunnel Beach on the other side.
Cape Meares Lighthouse Loop
Paved paths lead from the parking area to the lighthouse and various viewpoints. It's accessible and offers some of the best views on the entire coast.
Octopus Tree Trail
A very short walk to see the massive Sitka spruce with its candelabra-shaped branches. This tree was culturally significant to local tribes and is a botanical wonder.
Cape Lookout Trail
A short drive south, this trail takes you to the tip of the cape. You're hiking 400 feet above the ocean with sheer cliffs dropping away on both sides.
Netarts Bay Kayaking
Launch from nearby Netarts and paddle the calm waters of the bay. It's an excellent way to see the area from a different perspective and spot harbor seals.
